Elinor Jean Landells (Grandison) Grosch

Elinor Jean Landells Grosch, R.N. (nee Grandison) of Summerland, BC, born April 27, 1927 in Stratford, ON, died August 16, 2017 after a brief illness.  She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years William; daughters Liz, Kay (Jim) Makinson of Penticton, BC, and Margaret (Tom) Kobayashi of Georgetown, ON; and son Bill (John) of Cambridge, ON.  She has 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews in Ontario. Elinor was predeceased by her siblings Sheila Owen, Anne Hutchison, and William Grandison.

Elinor was a graduate of Stratford Collegiate and Hamilton General School of Nursing.  She had a rewarding 40 year career in nursing in Ontario.  She enjoyed golfing as a member of different golf courses in Ontario and the past 20 years as a member of the Summerland Golf Club.  She also enjoyed curling, bridge, and socializing with her many friends. Elinor generously volunteered her time with the IODE and the Summerland Thrift Shop.  She was much loved by her family and many friends. Her love of life and people touched the lives of all who knew her.
