Gertrude Nabb Obituary

NABB, Trudy Helen passed away suddenly at Penticton Regional Hospital on December 15, 2018. Trudy was born June 12, 1956 in Chapleau, Ontario. She earned her psychology degree at Erindale College, University of Toronto. She worked in retail  (Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart) and banking (CIBC, Royal Bank). Trudy loved to walk and continued her daily walks until just before her death. She was a loving, caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, neighbour, and co-worker. Trudy loved to travel and go to the annual Elvis Festival in Penticton. She sure knew how to party! Her big heart and positivity was infectionious and her strength and determination were prominent right up until the end.

Trudy was predeceased by her father Fred, mother June, brother Roger, and sister Lousie. She is survived by her children Sarah Campbell (Fitz-Morris) and Louis Bigras, her step-mother Joan Nabb, ex-husband Real Bigras, her grandchildren Jayden and Halleyah Campbell, sister Valerie Nabb (Colin Chesterman), brother Bill Nabb (Charlene), as well as her nieces and nephews Emma, Riley, Michael, and Christine.

There will be a service and Celebration of Life on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Providence Funeral Home, 1258 Main Street, Penticton at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to stop by to convey their condolences. Please leave your black at home and wear your brightest colours like Trudy would wear. 

Trudy’s family is grateful for the compassionate care she received from Dr. Phillips, the nurses, and other staff members at Penticton Regional Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trudy’s memory to the Huntington Society of Canada or to Penticton Regional Hospital.
