Margaret Dietrich October 15, 1921 ~ May 16, 2017

Margaret Dietrich, Gretel, (Little) Oma to many, has left us now to join her dear son Wolfgang, and other loved ones that went before her, in that Great Beyond. She gave her daughter Monika (Jones) one more mothers' day and then went peacefully, thanks to Leona and those amazing folks at Village by the Station, in the wee hours of May 16th. She left such a positive imprint in this world and found joy in many things both great and small which she shared with those who knew and loved her. She was creative and wise. She loved gardening, crafting, music, painting, reading, and she adored her grandchildren. Michael and Emily were lucky enough to have her close and active in their lives, and Stefan (Kempf), though an ocean away, also held a special place in her heart. She was kind, compassionate, and gentle yet weathered many a storm with courage and grace and unbelievable strength for such a tiny tender little being during those 95 years here on this earth. She was also a proud Canadian, wonderful friend, neighbour, niece, even a pretty great mother-in-law to Steve, and the best Mama anyone could want.

She lives on in our hearts and gardens.

Please join us for a little memorial gathering for little Oma Saturday May 27th at 11am at Providence in Penticton, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, Pastor John Driscall presiding.
