Margarete (Braun) Loewen

Margarete Loewen passed peacefully to be with her Lord on October 9, 2019.  He gave her time to express her love and farewells to those closest and dearest to her. 

Margarete leaves to mourn her children: daughter Marga (Danny), son Karl (Carole), daughters Erica (Dan), Heidi (Jim), Marianne (Tom), and Karen; son-in-law Bill; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews and their children. She was dearly loved by all her extended family.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter and sons-in-law John and Mitch.

The Lord was always Margarete’s guide in life and she lived her life with Him always near.  She loved her family and enjoyed her music, baking, needlework,  traveling, and gardening.

A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at First United Mennonite Church, 659 East 52 Avenue, Vancouver, BC.  Interment will take place in Valley View Cemetery, Surrey, BC.  A Memorial Tea will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Summerland Baptist Church, 10318 Elliott Street, Summerland, BC.
