Anne Beatrice Macleod

Anne Beatrice Macleod was born  February 25, 1941 in the old Summerland Hospital to parents Arthur Kelvin Macleod and Beatrice Merrigold (née Cooke) and died January 10, 2021.

She is survived by son Alan Park (Patricia) and their sons Kelvin Park (Alyssa Hollis) and Andrew Park; and daughter Katherine Sigurdsson (Ian) and their children Owen Sigurdsson and Alexandra ‘Ali’ Sigurdsson.  Loved ones saw her out of this life and into the next. 

Anne attended Summerland elementary and high school graduating in 1959.  She studied at UBC until she married in 1961.  Anne later worked for UBC, Social Services BC, and finally for Veterans Affairs Canada, from which she retired in 2000 after 20 years of service.  While working, Anne also sat on the board of the Canadian Mental Health Association for eight years.  In retirement, Anne travelled extensively.  In later years, she met the love of her life, James whose death two years ago was a terrible blow. 

Anne will be greatly missed by family and friends.  Anne’s family would like to thank Dr. Venkataraman and Dr. Broder for their care and support.
