Mary “Perle” Connolly, 76, Summerland, BC, formerly of Boylston, Guysborough County, NS, passed away peacefully at Dr. Andrew Pavilion Extended Care Centre in Summerland on November 30, 2020. She was born in Charlos Cove, NS and a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Richard) Levangie.
She was the wife of the late Don Connolly who together operated Connolly’s General Store in Boylston, NS for 35 years. They were married in Toronto, ON in 1966 where she was employed as a hospital ward clerk, then Halifax, NS prior to making Boylston, NS their home.
She is survived by sisters Rita Phalen of Toronto, ON, Doris Pellerin of Eastern Passage, NS, Shirley (Raymond) Mannette of Lower Sackville; brother Ronnie (Anne) Levangie of Fall River, NS; and special cousin and friends Russell and Trenda Levangie of Antigonish, NS.
She is also survived by her 3 children: Randy (Crystal) of Port Shoreham, NS, Suzanne (Oran) of Summerland, BC, Craig (Sarah Moretti) of Kitimat, BC; 9 grandchildren: Jessica, Brandon, Devan, Bailey, Dylan, Chasen, Benjamin, Spencer and Declan; a niece; and several nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Basil Levangie; Joseph Robert, and Charles Howard in infancy; her father and mother-in-law Don and Edith Connolly; and brothers-in-law Arthur Phalen and Roland Pellerin.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private service will take place. Interment will be St. Ann’s Cemetery, Guysborough, NS.
