Robert (Bob) Montgomery Henderson 

April 27, 1937 – Sept 6, 2021

It is with profound sadness I announce the passing of my wonderful loving husband and best friend of 63 years.  He left us peacefully surrounded by all of his adoring family.

He was the very proud father of three sons, Mike (Denise), Steve (Natalie)and Dan, also a very proud grandpa of Tyson, Courtney and Kyle.  

He is survived by his brother Ron (Nancy), sister Jean, sister- in-law Diane, brother- in- law Graeme, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Orland and Kathleen, brothers Bill, Rod and sisters Donna and Sharon.

Bob was the ultimate salesman (“Tinman”) working for his father -in -law at AAA Aluminum Products Ltd.  in the early years until he purchased the business and made it the success it is today.  He was very proud of the company and remained at the helm until he retired to Penticton.

He embraced life, having fun, and spending time with his many friends and family.  Lunching with his buddies and making people smile was very important to him.  He seemed to have an endless supply of jokes, some good, some not so good.  Bob’s favourite pastime was betting on the horses.  I am sure on his arrival to Heaven he was asking God, “Where is the nearest track, and would you mind getting me a Crown Royal with a splash of water”.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kooy, the paramedics, the doctors and nurses of Penticton Regional Hospital who gave such compassionate care to Bob in his final hours.

In lieu of flowers a memorial tribute can be made to the Kimount Boys and Girls Club (bgbbc.ca), an organization near and dear to him, or to a charity of your choice.

 

 A Celebration of Life will be announced at a safer time.
