Alfred LaBounty

Alfred will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his dog, Dallas, daughters Fern (Shawn) of Castlegar, Sally (Lee) of Kimberley, grandson Conner (Sally), step grandchildren Alexis (Sally) and Chance (Fern), brother Tom of Peachland, Cliff (Yvonne) of Kettle Valley, sisters Jeannette of Danville, WA, Jane (Al) of Peachland, sister in law, Valerie of Delta and many, many nieces and nephews. Alfred was sadly predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary, wife Louise and brothers Pete and Billy.

Born in Oliver, BC, Alfred lived in Osoyoos until he was two when the family moved to Kettle Valley where he worked on the family farm.  He started logging very young and worked all over the province.  In 1972, Alfred moved to Westbridge where he worked for Pope and Talbot and married Louise in 1976.  Alfred had many interests.  He loved restoring vehicles, hunting, fishing, camping, and tending to his immaculate yard.  Alfred was always willing to offer a helping hand.  He actively supported Louise in her volunteering, often attending local activities to help out.  Alfred lived life to the fullest and passed peacefully on May 04, 2018 saying that he had no regrets.  Family, friends, neighbours, co-workers, hunting and fishing buddies and all who met him will miss his smile and laugh. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 26th at the family home in Westbridge at noon.
