Dario Ferlizza Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dario Ferlizza . He was born June 1, 1944 and passed away in Penticton, BC January 22, 2018. Born in Nimis, Udine, Italy, he immigrated in 1957 and helped his parents make a life in Canada. He drove taxi in Prince George for many years. Eventually wanting a simpler life, he moved to Penticton and started helping brother Claudio with Zias Stonehouse and looking after his mother.

Dario had a great love of life. He loved being out and about in Penticton with his long-time companion Gay, going to the market or music in the park, and cruising the beaches. He loved any opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, especially when it included a pub and sports.

He was predeceased by his parents Pietro and Assunta Ferlizza and his wife Marianne.

He will be dearly missed by his sister Diana (Alberto) Sultano and their children Tiziana (Marty) and Lucia (Peter) and his brother Claude (Shannon) Ferlizza  and their children Aviana, Tiana, and Sophia; numerous grandnieces and nephews, cousins, and lots of family and friends in Italy and Penticton.

Thank you to the staff of Chestnut Place for their support.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Holy Child Catholic Church, 14010 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, BC.
