Ethel Margaret (Gilbert) Smith

ETHEL SMITH April 4, 1936- January 20, 2018

After a hard fought seven month battle with cancer, Ethel found eternal peace on January 20, 2018 at the age of 81.  She will be profoundly missed by her loving husband Vic of 62 years; five children: Jim Smith (SP), Larry Smith (Debbie), Vickie Ohmenzetter (Ken), Jacquie Spencer, and Tracey Field (Ian); eight grandchildren: Jeremy, Jamie, Cala, Stephanie, Carlie, Kelsey, Michael, and Daniel; one great-grandchild: Peyton; and many extended family members.  

Ethel lived a life that she absolutely cherished.  She loved her time with family and friends and especially found great joy in family gatherings big and small.

Ethel appreciated all the wonderful visits with family and friends during her illness.  Special thanks to all the wonderful people in the health care system who were so kind and helpful.

As per Ethel’s wishes we will have a Celebration of Life on the beach with all her family and friends once the weather is appropriate.
