Garry Gordon Owens

Garry Gordon Owens, age 72, of Summerland, BC, passed away after a  brave battle with cancer on October 1, 2018. 

Garry was born in Edmonton, AB to Cecil and Mary (Smith) Owens October 16, 1945.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years Jeane, son Kenneth (Pamela Johnstone), daughter Dawn, daughter-in-law Josephine, grandchildren Kassidy and Tristan, and sister Bonnie.

Garry was predeceased by his son Chris (2015), his mother Mary (2015), and his father Cecil (1973).

Garry was a carpenter by trade and the glue for the Owens’ family.  He kept everyone grounded and he was our best friend.  He had a very witty personality and often one-liners that had everyone laughing.  He will be missed terribly by friends and family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summerland Arena Banquet Room, 8820 Jubilee Road, Summerland, BC.
