Pat and I were so saddened to hear of George's passing. In conversation with an old friend about the "good old days" it came up that George was no longer with us. I first met George when he was with the NHB Police and later WVPD where we had a few adventures together and our friendship grew to include our wives and regular dinners, parties, and Christmas functions. We fell out of touch when they moved to the interior. We remember George's great sense of humor, that infectious laugh and his love of all things family. The delivery of eggs was always appreciated! Sincerest condolences to Ruth and the kids. Rick and Pat Winslow

Dear Ruth and family,
I had the pleasure of working with and later for George at the WVPD. George never lost his temper with us young guys, was patient, fair, kind, always made sound, solid decisions and taught us how to treat people. He also had a great sense of humour and a great laugh. It was a pleasure working and getting to know George. Please remember all the good times , the memories and that you were blessed to share time with a great gentleman. Unfortunately we are out of town so I will be unable to attend the service. I am sure there will be some good stories told and laughs shared.
Take care.
