Gerald St. Claire Sexsmith

On Friday, January 3, Gerald St. Claire Sexsmith passed peacefully from this life to meet his Saviour at the age of 87 years.

Born on October 29, 1932 in Edmonton, AB, Jerry was subsequently adopted at age 5 by Leonard and Mary Sexsmith. Dad worked various jobs before enlisting at age 20 with the Canadian Air Force. At the age of 37 he met and married June, the love of his life.

Dad became an independent trucker and at age 55 retired with Mom to Willowbrook in Oliver, BC. They enjoyed camping in their RV. Dad lived his life as a kind, generous servant of Christ. He was a member of Okanagan Falls Community Church since 1987 and loved his church family.

Left to mourn Jerry’s passing are his daughters, Sharon, and Peggy; son-in-law, Russ; 6 grandchildren, David (Louise), Janice (Clint), William (Kim), Sue (Craig), Jennifer (Chris) and Richard (Christine); and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jerry is predeceased by his loving wife, June; daughter, Thelma; sons-in-law, Bill and Rocky and his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Okanagan Falls Community Church with interment at Fort Langley Cemetery on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
