Hazel Chadburn Obituary

Hazel Helen Chadburn passed away peacefully March 12, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her children Dianne (Brian) Chadwick and Mark Chadburn, both of Summerland, BC; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and brother Alvin Slater of Kelowna, BC. She is predeceased by husband George Chadburn (2017), son Grant Chadburn (2006), and daughter Sylvia (1951).

Hazel moved from Saskatchewan, with her family, to Penticton, BC in 1947. Marrying George in 1948, she settled into the family orchard in Summerland. Raising four children, working the orchard and at various packinghouses, canneries, and the fish hatchery kept Hazel busy. She also found time for Eastern Star, crocheting, baking, and gardening.

Nana will be missed by her loving family. Her endless supply of cookies and squares are fondly remembered.
