Janet Gayle Iannone (nee Hepner)

Aug 11, 1940 - February 17, 2019

 

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Janet passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Sexsmith, AB, was raised in Rycroft, AB and graduated from Rycroft Highschool in1957.  She married Nicholas Robert Iannone August 16, 1963 in Rycroft, AB. Immediately after their wedding they spent two years in Penticton, BC before moving back to Rycroft and then to Fairview, AB  until 1972. The family then moved to Naramata, BC in 1972 where they resided until 2016.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Nick Iannone; sons: Todd (Val) and his children Nick and Nina; and Jordan (Stephanie) and their children Daniella, Nadia, Nathan and Maria, all of whom reside in Penticton, BC. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Cooper and Elsie, her brother Rick Kozuback (Wendy), and her niece and nephew Tara and Mark.

She was predeceased by her father Ben Hepner, mother Dora Kozuback, and step-father Mike Kozuback.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 361 Wade Avenue West, Penticton, BC at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of Kelowna Cancer Center, Penticton Regional Hospital, and Moog and Friends Hospice House.
