John Capp

John Capp went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Evelyn; children: Irene (Tom) of Burnaby, Ken (Zofia) of Abbotsford; grandchildren: Megan and Brent; great grandchildren: Vanessa, Ethan, John; and 4 step-children. John was sadly predeceased by his first wife Mary. John was born in Slovakia in 1926. He emigrated to Canada at the age of 11. He spent his youth working on the family farm, mining and working in sawmills. He moved to Prince George where he married and raised his family. While in PG, John enjoyed working at CN Rail for 39 years. He retired in 1991 and a few years later moved to Penticton. He found great pleasure in traveling, gardening, and playing cards with friends and family. John will be remembered for his caring and generous spirit and will be greatly missed by all. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2800 South Main Street, Penticton, BC with Pastor Michael Schutz officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
