Mary Isabel (Doull) Wilson

Wilson, Mary Isabel passed away July 9, 2017 with her dear husband and precious children at her side. She is survived by her friend and husband Newton (Chuck), son Brian (Nancy) of Rosseau, ON, and daughters  Nancy (Michael) and Susan of Summerland, BC.  She will be sadly missed by her sister Helen (Garry) of Smiths Falls, ON.  She was a dear grandmother to Brendan of Vancouver, BC and Leah (Nelson) of Toronto, ON, and a great grandmother to Jordan and Marley of Toronto, ON. She was predeceased by loving parents, brothers, sisters, and grandson Curtis of Toronto, ON.  She will be missed by many nieces and nephews across Canada and the US.

Mary was a kindergarten teacher for 20 years and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to many countries throughout the world.  Before moving to BC, she resided in London, ON, where she was an active member in the Presbyterian Church, as well as the Eastern Star.  She was also active in many volunteer programs at her church, the St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Meals on Wheels.  While residing in Summerland, she was a member of the Easter Star (Edena Chapter 33) and the Summerland United Church.  She continued to volunteer her time working with the church and the Summerland NeighbourLink program.

Cremation has taken place and Mary’s Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, July 29, 2017  at 2:00 PM at Summerland United Church, 113204 Henry Avenue, Summerland, BC.  In Mary’s honor,  a donation can be made to Summerland NeighbourLink,  Box 20031, Summerland, BC V0H 1Z0 or Summerland United Church, Box 155, Summerland, BC V0H 1Z0 or a charity of your choice.
