Murray L. Swales

Murray L. Swales, born November 29, 1950 in Nelson, BC, passed away with his family by his side December 9, 2018 at the age of 68 years. He will be rememebered and sadly missed by his soulmate, Linda, children; Carey(Brent) of Penticton, Erin(Jeremy) of Kaleden, Michael of Victoria, grandchildren; Sebastian, Meryckx, Kayden, Alaula, Zander, siblings; Marilyn(Rick) Hanson of Midway, Stan(Karen) Swales of Vernon, cousin David Swales of Kaleden and many nieces and nephews. Murray was sadly predeceased by parents Ted and Kay Swales and sister-in-law Rhonda Canaday.

Murray was well respected by all who knew him. He contributed much time and effort volunteering for a variety of organizations within the community and beyond. He was the foundation of our family and his passing leaves a deep emptiness.  Many thanks to the ICU nurses and doctors at both PRH and KGH for your tireless efforts, Dr. Elizabeth Watters, and the many nurses and doctors of the oncology departments of  PRH and KGH. 

A Celebration of Life for this amazing man will be held Spring 2019.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Murray’s name to the South Okanagan Hospital Foundation or the BC Cancer Agency. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.providencefuneralhomes.com. 250-493-1774
