It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nelson Edward (Ed) Allan at the age of 80, after a brief battle with cancer on October 16, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Marguerite and his children Susan, Scott (Elaine), Wendy, grandchildren Katelin, Stephanie, Cheryl, Randi and seven great grandchildren.
Ed loved helping and sharing his knowledge with people. He also loved making wine and had a passion for cooking. He and Marguerite travelled the world and loved spending their winters in Asia. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Calder, the staff and nurses at Mariposa as well as everyone else that helped during his final days.
The family will be having a private celebration of life at a future time, and in lieu of flowers would appreciate donations to the Salvation Army or your local food bank.
