Welcome to the memorial page for

Regine Adrienne Louise Siemons

April 2, 1972 ~ December 17, 2017 (age 45) 45 Years Old

Now rejoicing with her Lord Jesus, Regine Siemons walked through heaven’s doors on Sunday evening, December 17. Surrounded by her best loves: her daughter Elsa, her son Ethan and a host of family and friends, she heard their voices singing, It is Well with My Soul, as she drew her last breath.

Regine Adrienne Louise Siemons was born in Ottignies, Belgium on April 2, 1972 and immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta, with her parents when she was two-and-a-half years old. Already at that young age it was clear that she had a voracious appetite for learning, and it would become her life’s work to share her joy in unlocking the mysteries of math, the sciences and language.

She spent her first 12 years in the French Immersion program, followed by attending UBCO in Kelowna where she graduated with a B.Sc. in Biology and Science.Upon graduation she felt called by God to dedicate her life to teaching high school and received her degree in education from UBC in Vancouver. She worked with a missions’ organization, Youth with a Mission, in France, perfecting her French and came home to Penticton to teach French Immersion classes in science and math at Penticton Senior Secondary.

Regine had an incredible joy in living which spilled out over everyone she encountered—her family, her close circle of friends, her faith community, her students and everyone she met. She shone with a bright light that enriched anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her greatest light shone for her beautiful daughter, Elsa and her cherished son, Ethan. With them she found a new level of happiness and joy and she poured her heart and soul into loving them and making their lives full of delight.

Diagnosed with cancer just over five years ago, she fought a courageous battle for five years longer than the initial prognosis of three to nine months. She found her strength and courage from her unwavering trust in God’s promise that she would live to proclaim his goodness and she lived these past five years fully and well. Throughout her entire life she has been a testimony to God’s goodness and grace, and has been a great example and inspiration to anyone who knew her

Her family who will always, with deep love, remember her are her children Elsa and Ethan Siemons; her parents Albert and Matty Siemons; her sister Sandra Bouchard along with her children Leif and Ava; her brother Robert Siemons as well as his wife Christy and their children Ayden, Skyler and Liam; and her sister Martine Bradshaw with her husband Terry and their children Brodin, Christopher, Leona and Grace

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship to Penticton Secondary School will be set up in Regine’s name.

An upcoming Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in Penticton, location to be determined. Notice of date, time and location will be announced on Facebook.

Psalm 118:17 Surely you will not die; you will live to proclaim what the Lord has done.

Condolences may be sent to the family through the Providence website 250-493-1774
