Ronald Gordon Little

Passed away peacefully at West View Care Home in Penticton with his family by his side on July 25, 2018 at the age of 86 years.  He is remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Alice of 61 years.   He is survived by 4 children, Louise (John) Wright deceased 1999 at the age of 41, Heather (Richard)van Ryswyk of Naramata, BC; Gordon (Diana) Little of Calgary, AB; Michael Little of Penticton, BC; and Daniel Little of Calgary, AB.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Jessie Little and seven of his eight siblings.  

Ron was born in Tisdale, SK and then moved to Trail, BC when he was five years old with his mother.  He then moved to Kaslo for a breif time and then resided in Penticton working at Valley Dairy, he had his own business Acme Transfer for 20 years, he then worked at the Drive-in-theater for 5 years and finally retired in 1984.  He was very active in the British Columbia Dragoons the Okanogan’s Milita C Sqadron Penticton, later with the Cadets and finally with their Whizzbang Association. He spent time with his family going on holidays and short trips.   His hobbies included the love of trains and stamps. We would like to thank the staff at the West View Care Home for there great care they provided Ron during his stay there. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 10:30 am at Providence Funeral Homes, 1258 Main Street, Penticton. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson’s Society for Ron Little.
