October 3, 1923–March 21, 2019

Rosalia (Rose) Szigl, age 95, passed away, peacefully, on March 21, 2019 at Haven Hill Care Centre in Penticton. Rose was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1982 and by her son, Mike, in 2004. Rose is survived by her grandchildren, Mike (Pam) and Karen (Sean). She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Justin, Ethan, Liam and James.

Mama Szigl will be greatly missed by her cherished goddaughter, Theresa Antonick and her family. Rose was a hard working and fiercely independent woman who lived and cared for her home on Douglas Avenue for 57 years. She will be most remembered for her kindness and love for her beautiful roses and garden. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1258 Main Street, Penticton followed by interment at 12:00 pm at Penticton Lakeview Cemetery.
