My Grandmother was truly one of a kind. Trips to visit her in Penticton always ended with stories that would be remembered or quoted for years to come.

I have fond memories of her cliff side house, way up in the hills his of Penticton. It had this beautiful view both day and night that overlooked the city. I remember she liked scaring me with stories about Sasquatch and how he'd get me if I tried sneaking out of bed while she tried to enjoy a kid-free cocktail. She always had really amusing stories and she always liked to pinch me with those fingers that were essentially human vice grips.

I'll miss her a lot, and I'm always going to have great memories of visiting her. I've had this picture of her which always reminded me a lot of how she'd yell your name from down the hall like something was urgent. Then you'd show up to her swearing someone took her glasses when they were either on her head, hanging around her neck (I think she had just found them in the photo and was calling me cheeky). You were one in a million, Grandma. Lots of love.

Dear Janice & Family, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I remember receiving letters & pictures from her over the years until she wasn't able to write any more. I always looked forward to receiving her letters & pictures, it was so nice to hear all the news from her. She had such beautiful hand writing. My mom & your Mom were only just over a month in age difference. We lost Mom in February. Very difficult for all of us as she suffered a lot. I'm still having a difficult time & having many flash backs watching her suffer. I'm lost without her at times. Just take one day at a time & hold onto all the wonderful memories in your heart. My deepest sympathy to you & your family. Love cousin Gail

Dear Janice and family......I was very saddened to hear of the passing Aunt Nannie. I only have fond memories of your mom. Mostly of how she brought all the family together, always with great food, booze and of coarse all the crazy stories. Im positive she was greeted by all her siblings. Including my mom Dolly. You are in my thoughts Janice. Now Aunt Nannie is free Sending you love and healing...love debra xo

She was feisty indeed and fun to visit with. She wrote beautiful letters and was a gifted story teller. You are forever in our hearts Aunt Nan and we will miss you.

My dear Aunt Nan has crossed over to celebrate with her family gone before her! May there be lots of laughs and love shared and one or two drinks poured. Nanny was my closest aunt who took me in when I moved to Alberta in 80. Lots of funny memories and she truly did love hosting parties and entertaining. Thank you Aunt Nan for all you did for me. You gave us many things to laugh over and imitate! Cheers. See you on the other side! love Kirsten
