On February 11, 2020 dad’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful end. He was 91 and had wasted very few moments of his life.
A child of the Depression, he knew the value of a dollar and the kind of success that comes from determination and hard work.
In 1951 he married a truly wonderful woman and never really recovered from losing her when she died in 2013. Dad passed along his strength of character to his 3 daughters and he was a powerful presence in the lives of his 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He had a treasured friendship with his best fishing buddy and enjoyed some of the best times of his life swatting mosquitoes and drinking beer in the remote fishing spots in Northern Manitoba.
God speed dad, the fish are biting and your next chapter is waiting.
