Alli Helena (Hintikka) Vainio

Alli Helena Vainio (Hintikka) went to be with the Lord on her 92nd birthday, August 2, 2021. Remembered and sadly missed by her; children: Hank (Anne) Vainio of Finland, Hannele (Dennis) Fagerlid of Penticton, Tarja (Blair) Jardine of Vancouver, Tuula (Markus) Ahlgren of Delta, Anne Lang of Kelowna; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sibling: Helga Puukari of Finland and many nieces and nephews in Finland and Canada. Alli was sadly predeceased by her husband, Aaro, 4 sisters and 4 brothers in Finland.

Alli was born in Finland and moved to Canada in 1970.  She was loved by all who knew her.  Her sweet smile, gentle spirit and love for her family and God will be missed.

A viewing was held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence’s Summerland Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC with a graveside service that followed at Canyon View Cemetery, 10316 Canyon View Road, Summerland, BC ~ with Rev. Jukka Joensuu officiating.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to missions work through the Finnish Bethel Church (Kotikirkko), Emmaus Lutheran Church or the Finnish Rest Home in Vancouver, BC.
