Brian passed away on his 83rd birthday with his wife (Debbie) and family by his side. He will be forever missed by his children, Caryn (Mike), Lisa, Mike (Jessie), John, and Gina (Dennis) and their families including 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Ray and sisters, Joan and Gale.
He is sadly predeceased by his grandson, Eric and brother, Laurence.
Brian was born in Vancouver, BC and grew up with 4 brothers and sisters on Salt Spring Island.
He eventually moved to Vancouver Island where he worked in the forest industry, settling in Duncan to raise his family, and later moving to Sooke.
He owned his own falling company and was so proud to have his two sons follow in his tradition and work along side him.
In 1999, he and Debbie moved to Penticton to retire and enjoy the warm weather. He loved the outdoors and could always be seen outside manicuring his yard and soaking up the sun.
Although he traveled often during those years, it was always being home he enjoyed most.
Brian was a kind man of few words. He will be remembered for his spirit and generosity . He loved his family more than anything and was always there when you needed him, he was strong and determined, and courageous.
We will love him and keep him in our hearts forever.
