Emil Peter Sajna

Emil Sajna went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2021, at the age of 86 years old. Emil was born in Fort William on May 10, 1935, to Andrew and Katarina Sajna.  Emil is survived by his loving brother Bernard Sajna (Colleen) and many nieces and nephews.  Emil was sadly pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Sajna.  He was also pre-deceased by his siblings Andrew Sajna, George Sajna (Irene), and Steve Sajna, and his sisters Theresa Osipenko (Stephen), Mary Brendza, and Catherine Sajna. 

Emil was passionate about trains and travel, working for the CPR for more than 35 years. After his retirement he and Brenda spent their winters residing in Florida and Arizona, while spending their summers in Penticton.   Emil enjoyed music and DJ’d over 400 weddings, events and dances including at the Penticton Seniors Centre. 

A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Penticton, BC, with a private family burial held at Lakeview Cemetery immediately following the funeral. To watch a recording of the service, please click the link below.
