Evelyn Anne Murphy

EVELYN MURPHY of Okanagan Falls, BC formerly from Sydney Forks, NS passed away peacefully on Nov 14, 2020 at the age of 88 yrs. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Peter; son David, Sydney, NS; daughters Shannon Murphy, Lake Havasu, AZ and Erin Murphy (Mike) of Okanagan Falls, BC; her only and most cherished grandson Kyle (Jan) and great- grandson Tanner.  Also surviving her is her sister Gladys Prince, Jackie and brother-in-law Bobby McCallum, OK Falls, BC and brother Jim Prince (Sharon), Courtenay, BC.

Evelyn was sadly predeceased by her parents John and Genevieve Prince, Sydney, NS and brother Kevin, OK Falls, BC.

Evelyn spent most of her life in Cape Breton where she worked at the Sydney River Woolco shoe dept. Evelyn was an active member of the East Bay Legion Branch # 151 Ladies Auxiliary as well as the Red Cross Emergency Services.

She and Peter eventually made the big move to Okanagan Falls, BC to retire where they could enjoy the sun, beaches, fresh air and the abundance of fruit. She was involved with the Emergency Services of OK Falls and volunteered every year for Ironman Canada. She loved gardening and spending time at the OK Falls beach where they had their own little spot to relax.  There will be no service as per her request.
