Obituary

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce our precious Grace Che Yue Hallworth passed away on April 19, 2022, a beautiful light extinguished far too soon.  

Grace was predeceased by her sisters, Jamie and Alex, who died in childbirth in 2000; her beloved mother, Brenda Hallworth (née Russell) who passed away unexpectedly in 2016;

and her loving grandparents, Myrtle & Ron Russell and Bob & Rosmarie Hallworth.  Grace leaves behind her father, David; big brother, Sam; and the aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved her so very much.

We ask that you all help carry her light forward, that her loss be a signal for us all to prioritize and talk about mental health issues with our families, friends, and communities.  A celebration of her too-brief life will be held June 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at Manitou Park in Naramata. In lieu of flowers, donations to youth mental health charities would be appreciated.
