Gurvinder Kaur

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gurvinder Kaur announce her passing.  Gurvinder passed away peacefully on October 5, 2020 at 63 years of age. She is predeceased by her wonderful parents Maya Devi and Hans Raj.   

Gurvinder will be remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband Surinder Singh; her children Deepti Sharma (Vivek Sharma) of California, Sumati Singh (Manmeet Singh Dhillon) of Penticton, British Columbia,  Sharanpreet Singh of Penticton, British Columbia, and two beautiful grandchildren, Hetal and Jiya Sharma of California.  

To mourn her loss, Gurvinder also leaves behind her brother, Narinder Sagar, sisters, Krishna Dogra, Kamlesh Rani and Indra Rani.

Cooking traditional Indian meals was a passion of Gurvinder’s and those who had the pleasure of feasting on her homemade meals would agree as to how delicious they were. She invested her love and life into the children and her husband Surinder Singh. Gurvinder was devoted to family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

A Traditional Sikh service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Penticton Sikh Temple, 3290 South Main Street, Penticton, British Columbia and a funeral service was held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2020 at Providence Funeral Homes, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, British Columbia.
