It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Irene Drebit announces her passing. Irene passed away peacefully following a brief illness at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, BC on July 12, 2021.
Irene was born on August 20, 1929 in St. Boniface, MB to Effie and John Mazur. She grew up there in a country general store.
Irene was a wonderful wife and mother and a caring, compassionate woman. She was also an awesome cook. Irene had an infectious laugh. Her efforts of contributing to the community were greatly appreciated.
Irene was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Drebit; her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Douglas Holmes.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Irene is survived by her son, Keith; nieces and nephews, Sherry (Darcy) Roberts, Dana (Dave) Saltzman, Leanne, Shandra (Jonathan) Wiebe, Candace Drebitt, Stephanie (Merrell) Stewart, Calvin Drebitt and Margaret Titanich; cousin, Pat (Jim) Henderson.
Keith would like to thank the staff at Penticton Regional Hospital, Moog and Friends Hospice House and Dr. Pugachev for taking good care of Irene.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Homes Chapel at 1258 Main Street, Penticton, BC. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
