It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Chadwick of Summerland, BC, shares the news of his passing at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, BC. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on April 4, 2023, at the age of 70 years.

Jim did it all – great at cooking, gardening, woodworking, welding, and leatherwork. Jim retired in 2021 after an enjoyable career with Red Wing Shoes.

His family is proud of him and his fight with cancer, giving everything to make it to the birth of his first grandchild. Through it all, he kept his sense of humour and positive attitude.

Jim leaves behind Kim, his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, son Doug (Maddy), and grandchild expected in June.

Brothers Bob (Nancy) and Brian (Dianne); Sister Debbie (Ed); nieces and nephews and their families, along with numerous friends and in-laws will also miss him.

Sadly predeceased by his parents, Doug & Gwen Chadwick.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, BC.

Salute to his long-time friends, Dan Borg, Dan Hayward, Bill Watson, and Wayne Reidl for their many phone calls and chats with Jim throughout life, but especially during his fight.

As hard as it was to let you go, we’re grateful you’re pain-free.
