Leo passed away peacefully at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, BC. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jackie; children, Jay (Kelly) of Kamloops, Kara (Damian) of Kelowna; grandchildren, Dakota, Loklan, and Malhyia; sister Marg (Ed) Shannon of Durham, NC; sisters-in-law, Laurie (Bud) Kadin of Penticton and Karen (Gord) Rannie of Vernon.
Growing up in Cranbrook, Leo furthered his education and career with moves throughout the province where he formed enduring friendships. He enjoyed Oliver and our family has created many happy memories here.
Leo’s greatest joy was his family and he proudly celebrated each of their achievements. His love of nature, sports and learning was transferred to the next generation through example and by volunteer involvement with charitable organizations, coaching young people and mentoring many entering his career path. Leo will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, kindness and quick wit.
The family will hold a private celebration of Leo’s well-lived life at a later date.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hill, nurses Lisa and Breanne, staff and volunteers at SOGH and Moog and Friends Hospice House. Leo was, and the family remains, extremely grateful for your kindness and compassionate care.
Leo's family requests that no flowers be sent in his memory.
