Joseph Brown Obituary

Joseph William Brown of Summerland, BC passed away peacefully January 21, 2018 at the age of 88 years. He will be remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Olga ‘Charley’; children Susan of Parksville, BC, Janet (Felix) of Calgary, AB, Robert (Rose) of Richmond, BC and David (Nena) of Coquitlam, BC; grandchildren Shane, Chris, Amanda, Shaun, Alex, Meagan, Derek, Lindsey, and Maya; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Harrison, and Harper; and siblings Agnes (Richard) of Langley, BC and Doreen (Gordon) of Sherwood Park, AB. He was predeceased by sister Joan Potter.

Joe’s accomplishments and skills were many. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends that he made during his time in the RCN, as a member of the Vintage Car Club, building his live steam locomotive, his career in DND, and during retirement participating in and teaching round dancing. The family truly appreciates all of you.

Godspeed Joseph, Joe, Dad, Grandad, and Great Grandad…it was a pleasure.

A private family service was held at Canyon View Cemetery in Summerland, BC.
