Joy Pinney

It is with sad hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Joy Lorraine  Pinney on Friday, April 16, 2021. Peacefully and at home, where she wanted to be, in seemingly good health.  Unfortunately with today’s environment, she was not able to visit in person with friends, family, church and social circles, which she had kept up until the start of last year. But please know she talked about all of you, all the time, and constantly expressed how much she missed you all.

"Joy's loving husband of 60 years, Harold, predeceased her 11 years ago. She is survived by 2 of her 3 children Dennis (Paula) Pinney and Susan (Rusty) Blackwell, her daughter-in-law Sherry; 7 grandchildren including Charlene, Julie, Shelly, Michelle, Nettie, Derek and Chelsea, 10 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews, 2 brothers Ken (Doreen) Heaton and Gord (Ester) Heaton, and many lifelong friends. Others predeceasing her are her son Doug, her sister Margaret (Willy) Golia, her parents Rose and Clifford Heaton, and daughter-in-law Laurie Pinney."

Joy really looked forward to her zoom church services, and the calls she received from family and her many friends, both new and old.  She had worldwide community involvement, helping organize events with several service groups (Quota International, Kiwanis. Kinsman , A.C.T.) all providing charity work. She also enjoyed her mahjong club, and travel. She was still running her successful Amway business, and coordinating store food demos, among other activities, until age 87, when she passed. Many have expressed to us appreciation of her mentorship or the inspiration she provided.  She sorely missed her husband Harold of 60 years, who  predeceased her 11 years ago.
