Joyce Savilaasko, 90, of Summerland, BC, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Summerland Seniors Village.

Joyce was born May 11, 1932, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Joyce was a school bus driver and after retirement, enjoyed spending the summers at her cottage in Ontario and winters in Texas golfing and gardening with her husband Lauri. Later in retirement, they moved to the beautiful Okanagan where they enjoyed going for walks and tending the yard.

Joyce is remembered and sadly missed by her four children: daughters Linda, Karen, and Brenda, and her son Brian, along with her sister, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was sadly predeceased by her husband of 65 years in 2017, and her three brothers.

As per Joyce’s wishes, a cremation has taken place and the family will have a private gathering at a later date.
