Jérémie passed away on November 17, 2021, at age 39, at his residence in Keremeos, BC. He lived his last days in the shade of the majestic Rocky Mountains and close to the orchards where he felt most at home.
He leaves his loved ones with precious memories of his generosity, his love of freedom, his sense of humor, and, more than anything, his infinite love and care for those he loved. Jérémie was altruistic, deeply loving, and always took it to heart to help and listen to everyone he met.
His memory will be kept alive in the heart of his loved ones : his mother, Patricia Arrotin; his brother, Jean-Baptiste Gimlewicz; his sisters, Marie (Dave), Annie and Catherine Gimlewicz and Marianne Lachance; his grand-mother, Anna-Maria Sala; his uncle, and Godfather Luc Arrotin (Natasha) and their children; his nephews, Emmanuel and Raphaël Jourdain; his niece, Clara Jourdain; his dear friend Nathalie Beaudoin; and his father, Philippe Gimlewicz; as well as other family members and many dear friends, including the Sandhu family, and Pastor Jason Wiebe.
As tribute or mark of compassion, the family invites you to help a person in need, neither judging nor waiting for them to ask, just as Jérémie would have.
A ceremony will be held on November 29, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Elim Tabernacle Church. Anyone who wishes to say goodbye is welcome, in compliance with safety measures.
The ashes will be dispersed, when the circumstances allow, at his home of Keremeos.
