The family of Krunoslava Verhas of Okanagan Falls, BC is saddened to announce her passing at the age of 85 years.

Krunoslava was born in Dakovo Croatia on January 9, 1938 and passed away on February 2, 2023 in Penticton, BC. She immigrated to Canada in 1960 and lived in Winnipeg, MB and Haney, BC. She then moved to Squamish, BC from 1964-1969, Roberts Creek, BC from 1969-1974, Bridesville, BC from 1974-1979, Osoyoos, BC from 1979-1984, Port Clements, QC from 1984-1989 and Okanagan Falls, BC from 1989-2023.

She is survived by her sister, Ljerka, of Skopje, Macedonia; brother, Zvonimir (Ivka) and sister, Blazenka (Vlado) of Dakovo, Croatia as well as many nieces and nephews; daughters, Miriam, Susie (Don), Jeanette (Gottfried), Lily (Steve) and Ina (Wade); grandchildren, Vicky (Mark), Sara (David), Jesse (Kayla), Daniel (Leslie), Bryan (Deanna), Katelyn (Matthew), Luka, Renee, Nicole, John (Tedrah), Samantha (Jesse), Selena (Jakob) and Alex (Brianna); great-grandchildren, Coral, Joseph, Damian, Casey, Roslyn and Jordan.

Rest in peace our beautiful, gracious, courageous, loving mother, Baka and Prabaka.

She had a long and happy life working side by side with her beloved Luka, building many homesteads throughout our beautiful province and deciding to settle and stay on the St. Rocc Farm which they built together.

She made everyone around her feel special and welcome always.

She left this world on her own terms with dignity, grace and in gentle peace.

Family and friends are invited to pay their last respects to Krunoslava on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Homes, Penticton Chapel.
