Laurentina Braz Barroca Obituary

On Monday, March 16, 2020, Mrs. Laurentina Barroca passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at the Penticton Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Abel Barroca and her son, Jose Barroca.

She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter, Maria (Joe) Barata; daughter-in-law, Karen Barroca; brother, Albert (Delfina) Figueira; grandchildren, Irene (John) Delucchi, Phillip (Lisa) Barata, Chris (Michelle) Barroca, Scott (Bethany) Barroca and her 7 great grandchildren.

Laurentina was born in Silvares, Portugal on November 4, 1930. She came to Canada in December 1959 and settled in Osoyoos with her husband and 2 children. She lived in Osoyoos from 1959 until 2005 when she moved to Penticton.

Prayers and Funeral Mass were held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 and Friday, March 20, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Parish with Father Obi officiating. Entombment has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery, Penticton.
