Marcia Alderson

On December 23, 2018, Marcia Alderson passed away, after a valiant effort, at the age of 68 years.  Remembered and sadly missed by her son Bradley Geddes, grandson Levi Geddes and sister Nadene(Robert) Brigham.  Marcia was predeceased by parents Douglas and Dorothy McKenzie Alderson, brother Kevin Alderson and sons Richard, Steven and Michael Geddes.  Marcia was born in Creston, BC on June 28, 1950, to Douglas and Dorothy McKenzie Alderson, grandparents Robert Dunn Alderson of England, Jeannie McKenzie Alderson of Scotland and great grandfather John McKenzie Alderson (Land Baron) of England.  As a teenager, Marcia enjoyed her summer days at the Shatford Centre of Arts at Penticton Highschool and her evenings working at her uncle’s Penticton drive-in theater.  Marcia always put others first, which made her an exceptional registered nurse.  Her generous nature, combined with compassion and sincerity, carried over within the community by her helping neighbours and volunteering with the Penticton Schitzophrenia Society. Special thanks to nurse Leyenne, of the South tower and Dr Forzley and René of the ICU of Penticton Regional Hospital. 

A public visitation will be held January 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home at 1258 Main Street, Penticton.  An interment will be held in the Spring 2019.
