On Sunday, May 17, 2020, after suffering a short illness, Scott Lefteruk went to be with his Lord, and is now rejoicing in the perfection of eternity.
Ralph Scott James Lefteruk was born on October 9, 1973 in Selkirk, Manitoba, and spent his school years there. He enjoyed playing football and swimming. His grandmother, Ella Elsa, taught him about Jesus Christ and Scott proclaimed his love for Him until his last breath.
In 2000 he moved to Penticton, British Columbia and enjoyed his time as one of the pastors of the Abundant Life Church. He spoke passionately about the greatness of God and mentored many people. Later in life he immersed himself in studying the Bible in the original Hebrew language.
Scott’s greatest and best joy in life was his beloved children, Elsa, 17 and Ethan, 14. Everything he did was intended to show them how much he loved them.
Scott was severely ill for the last 12 years of his life. Although he could have given up on countless occasions, he put his trust in the Lord and fought hard for what he knew was right.
Scott will be missed and remembered by his children, Elsa and Ethan Siemons; his mother, Christine Lefteruk; grandmother, Dorothy Fidler; his father and step-mother, Ralph and Linda Lefteruk; his brother, Trent (Shaney) Lefteruk, and their children, Kassidy and Jena; and his sister, Kristy Lefteruk.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Funeral Homes, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, BC with inurnment at Lakeview Cemetery.
