Robert Jackson Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our “Dad,” Bob at age 93. A life lived long and well, and to all that knew him, an unforgettable man that left a lasting impression on so many.

Born and raised in Edmonton, he pursued a successful career in professional hockey while traveling to many cities in USA and Canada. He started a family with his beautiful wife, Audrey and lived out of suitcases and hotels. They finally settled in Kamloops to continue with family and a career with Slade & Stewart, which also had him traveling throughout the province, but always putting his family first. They then relocated to Penticton in 1966 where he and Audrey embraced the community and were actively involved in contributing their time to volunteering, with minor hockey, and were long standing members of Penticton Golf Club. To the end Bob was an active resident of Caravilla Estates community which had been home for many years.

To all that knew him he will be remembered for his down to earth personality, honesty, sincerity and great sense of humour.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife, Audrey of 61 years. He is survived by his son, Norman (Barb); daughters, Cat and Jacqueline; grandson, Bob (Lesley, Beth and Quinn); grandchildren Jason and Kelly, along with other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their additions; his two sisters, Gloria(Eric), Doreen (Erv, their daughter Jody).

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will not take place at this time.

We know that sharing this notice will have his friends and acquaintances reflect on a memory or two with a smile!
