Rose “Rosie” Templeton passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 15th, 2018. She is survived by her four beloved children Wendy (Harry Nicol), Larry (Margo), Rob (Diane), Kim (Brian Marchand). Lovingly remembered by ten grandchildren, two precious great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born on September 1st, 1931 in Bassano Alberta; the fourth child of Margaret and “Scottie” Ross. Her childhood was spent on the farm with her older siblings Bill, Chuck, and Bette. Rose joined the RCAF in 1953. Shortly after joining she was stationed in Soellingen Germany where late in the summer of 1954 she met the love of her life, Chris Templeton, who was also serving in the RCAF. They married January 29th, 1955 and would go on to live over six decades completely enamoured with one another. Together they owned a successful aviation supply business (Air Flair) Calgary Alberta for 14 years. Rose volunteered at the Care Closet thrift store in Penticton for over 25 years, and we ask that instead of flowers, donations go to them at 574 Main Street, Penticton BC V2A 5C7. We would like to express our thanks to Dr. Paul Cobbin, Vicki, Kelly, and all the staff for their care of Rose and Chris over the years.
Chris passed away on January 8th 2018 and Rose remained in their home under the care and love of their granddaughter Kelly Hood before moving in April to Dr. Andrew Pavilion in Summerland. We would like to thank the staff of Dr. Andrew Pavilion who so kindly looked after Rose in her final weeks. As Rose and Chris did everything together it is only fitting that a celebration of their lives will be held at The Pines Mobile Park clubhouse in Penticton on July 21, 2018 at 1pm
