Steve Andrew Bank, late of Penticton, BC, passed away peacefully at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents (Andrew and Katherine) and all of his older 21 brothers and sisters. Steve’s mother was the second wife for Andrew Bank and she had 11 children. Steve was predeceased by his loving wife Stephanie (married 63 years), and his youngest son Steven.
Steve will be lovingly remembered by his family; his son Gary (Caroline) Bank with their children James and Michelle; His daughter Janice (Peter) Smith with their children Cory and Ryan; and Teri (Allan) Barr with their children Tricia, Tyler and Christine; and daughter in-law (Vicky) Bank with her children Kyle, Noah and Chloe. He also will be fondly remembered by his ten great grandchildren and his many nephews and nieces.
Steve was born on a farm near Candiac Sk. After growing up an a farm he became a truck driver. He started by hauling grain, gravel and anything else that could provide an income. He ended his truck driving career with very large off-road logging trucks and their huge loads.
The church and his religion were always a part of his life and he will be remembered by his many projects and being a helper at the many parishes he was part of. In Penticton he was the leader for big building and renovation projects. For more than ten years, he and his wife delivered the eucharist and comfort to people at home.
Steve loved to tell stories, jokes and making people laugh. Along with his wife, he loved to play card games, board games and bocce with friends, kids and grandkids.
