On Friday, May 21, 2021 Tom Fleet of Penticton, BC passed away at the age of 94 years. Tom is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Larry) and granddaughters, Abby & Kara; daughter, Lori and grandson, Tanner; son, Bill (Ellen), granddaughter, Jessie (Jeff) and great grandchildren, Kael, Ayla and Esme; granddaughter, Michelle (Justin), great grandchildren, Aubrey and Beau; and granddaughter Jamie. He is also survived by his brother, John (Linda) Fleet. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Gwendy of 57 years, and daughter, Leigh Ann. Tom and Gwendy were both born and raised in Penticton and spent all of their lives here.
Dad was a pioneer, visionary, and an old school cowboy. He followed his passion for the outdoors starting Cathedral Lakes Resort with partners Herb Clark, Karl and Helmut Gehringer in the early 1960's. Dad continued his love of hunting, fishing, and horseback riding throughout his life, and enjoyed a Lambs Navy rum and coke at the end of the day.
