Wayne Meridith Cummings

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Wayne Meridith Cummings, who passed away on 16 July 2023, at the age of 84 years. He was born in Agassiz, BC, on 24 September 1938, and lived in Abbotsford, BC, before retiring and moving to Princeton, BC.

Wayne was very active in the community as a member of the Abbotsford Flying Club, Abbotsford Airshow, & the Royal Canadian Legion, and he also loved to travel especially at home here in British Columbia.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Marples & Kenneth Cummings; grandchildren, Meghan Ferguson, Liam Marples, and Alex Clemmensen, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Sadly, Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Inez Cummings, and daughter, Debora Clemmensen.

The family would like to thank the Ridgewood Lodge & Princeton Hospital staff for the love and care shown to Wayne while he was there. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Wayne’s memory.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Princeton Royal Canadian Legion #56, located at 170 Bridge Street in Princeton, BC, on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
